Consider this film a work in progress. Comprised solely of still transparency images taken while inside Tibet, and the Exiled community at Dharamsala, India.
'EXILE' certainly relates to the definition listed above as it pertains to the Tibetan situation, but my meaning does not stop there. We are all 'Exiles' in this day and age from the things that matter most. I am not going to be presumptuous enough to tell you all what you need to pay attention to in list form but you all know what I am talking about.
The point is that there is much going on in the world that we don't ever seem to have the time to pay attention to, and in many ways this contributes to the lack of cohesion in our nation and the world.
When this film is in its finished form, it will also incorporate images from Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and India as well as traditional music from differing regions and contemporary artists work such as Bjork, The Beastie Boys, Nine Inch Nails, Radio Head, and Peter Gabriel.
I wanted to go places in the world for a long time but never had the time. It's been three years since I decided to make the time. This is just part of what I have found. What will you find when you go?
