Thomas Blumann namedcurator of the European Art Foundation

 

The art historian Dr.SilkeBettermann from theBeethoven House in Bonn and the curatorThomas Blumannview the bust ofLudwig vanBeethoven. The portraitwas created by the sculptorArnoBreker (1900-1991), andhas never been shown until 2005.

Berlin (bpb) The European Artfoundation Berlin has appointed Mr. Thomas Blumann as the curator. The selection into this honorary positiontook place in the art council, under the leadership of the sculptorKurt Arentz. Mr. Blumann accepted the position. Professionally, Mr.Blumann has been active in the artistic world in Bonn, Germany. Hehas been a friend and supporter of European art for many years.Furthermore, he is known as a specialist for virtual presentation ofart and art objects in the Internet. "This medium not only opens upnew avenues for visual preservation of arts, but also offerspossibilities of wide sharing of information with the people of ourtime."
