The Himalayan Sage Swami Veda: 60 years of teachings

The aim of this event is to search for the mutual links between the ancient scriptures, philosophies and modern sciences, through the following themes:

Medical & Health Sciences

Living in Harmony with the Physical World

Knowledge, Learning and Educational Systems

Good Governance and the role of Leaders

This International Dialogue is part of the celebrations Life Beyond Knowledge and Time, celebrating 60 years of teachings of Swami Veda Bharati in February 2007.

Swami Veda Bharati is a poet, scholar, humanitarian and international speaker, who has been teaching and providing spiritual guidance for the past 60 years. He has has guided thousands worldwide in the purest and most ancient path of subtler, of the Himalayan Tradition of Yoga and Meditation.

This International Dialogue will explore how yoga (and other ancient) sciences influences the things we do in today's world, and how these sciences could help shaping our world of tomorrow. One of the overarching questions for this dialogue is:

Will the application of holistic approaches, known from the ancient sciences, take us beyond concepts and minds, beyond the material world and show us the images of a non-material world characterized by 'fullness' or 'completeness'?

Swami Veda's work with the World Parliament of Religions and the United Nations World Council of Religious Leaders has led to presentations on both practical and timely topics, such as education and parenting for peace and spirituality in business.

His openness, depth of calm, and insight are rare. His way of teaching is personal, practical, and direct.

This unique event will take place in Rishikesh, India between February 17-18, 2007. Swami Rama Meditation Academy, Virbhadra Road, P.O. Pashulok, Rishikesh, Uttaranchal, India.
