SAFFRON MILK

 

Bring 1 1/2 cups of skim milk to a boil.

 

Take off heat and put 1 Tbs of the hot milk into a mortar bowl, and add 5 strands saffron for grinding.

 

Grind until fine and mixture is yellowish. Put mixture back in the hot milk, stir, and bring to boil twice more.

 

Take off heat, and strain into a thermos to keep hot.
