"Christo was here ?" The Alexander Garden in the winter of 2010 in the town of Clarence, New York. Travelers who drive from New York City to Buffalo can see in this historical town a group of sculptures, veiled in heavy yellow plastic sheets. The sculptures stand in the Sculpture Garden of the US Museum of European Art (MEAUS). A lover of modern art will at once think: "Was the famous "Wrapper" Christo here?" The 'signature features' of the Bulgarian-born artist known for arranging 'art events' around the world are veilings and wrappings of various objects. For our article, see Christo in Clarence? Oleg Korolev: A Mystical and Visionary Painter

 

The portrait-bust „Ernst Fuchs", created by the sculptor Kurt Arentz. One exemplaire of the bronze is in the collection of the 'European Art Foundation' in the Museum Europäische Kunst at the Nörvenich Castle near Cologne, Germany. Among the artists of the Classical Tradition, Kurt Arentz is considered the most significant contemporary portraitist.

Black Boy" Michael Jackson am Anfang seiner Weltkarriere (Foto). Vom smarten Pop-Star hat sich der junge Farbige im Laufe seines Lebens durch Operationen und Haut-Bleichung zu einer Art „Latin Lover" gewandelt. Im Todesjahr war er zum Leidwesen vieler Fans durch seine Entstellungen ein eher „bedauerliches Bleichgesicht". Ebenso gefährlich ist es heute bei hellhäutigen Menschen, sich leichtfertig durch zu starke UV-Bestrahlung der Gefahr von „Schwarzem Hautkrebs" auszusetzen.
