The miraculous survival of one of the holiest and most ancient temples of Lord Shiva. The village of Kedar-Nath has been worst hit by the recent floods. The entire village has been wiped out. Miraculously, the sacred temple, one of the most sacred temples of India, has survived the floods. Moreover, over 2,000 pilgrims have taken shelter in it and have been protected from the wrath of mother nature.

The Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer in 2013 after the honor by the German expellees. The Karlspreis of the Sudeten Germans is named after the Roman-German Emperor Karl IV (Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor, born on May 14, 1316 in Prague, died on November 28, 1378 in Prague). He was also the King of Bohemia. Charles IV. was born into the royal House od Luxembourg royal line, and belongs to the most significant Emperors of the late middle ages. He was one of the most influential European rulers of that time. Many monuments were built in his honor. In Prague, the famous Charles Bridge is named after him.
