Last year, much ground-work has been accomplished in the ALEXANDER SCULPTURE GARDEN in Clarence, New York: 16 concrete foundations & pedestals for sculptures and busts have been constructed in the form of a double circle. More top soil was brought in to level the land in the circle, and re-seeded with grass. The Spanish flag, in the center of the circle of 16 pedestals reminds of the current exhibition of graphic work of the great Catalan painter Salvador Dalí. A larger-than-life portrait of Dalí will be one of the special artworks in the Alexander Sculpture Garden in Clarence, New York. For our article, see Alexander Sculpture Garden in May 2007 ...

Rainbow across the mighty Niagara River. View from the US side of the Niagara Falls in early spring of 2007. The boats 'Maid of the Mist' are still aground in the dock, but in late May they will start once again their daily rides up to the falling waters of Niagara. Visitors to Niagara Falls are encouraged to visit the nearby Museum of European Art in Clarence, New York--only 45 minutes drive toward Buffalo.

Art lovers in the Buffalo area just had a special treat for the eyes and ears: a performance of Indian classical dance. 'Nritya Sangam' was a fascinating performance demonstrating four different styles: Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi and Kathak. Above, the dancer and dance teacher Kamala Reddy demonstrates one of the many hand gestures she uses in her dance. For our article, see Indian Dancers at University at Buffalo ...
